Kim was born in Denmark. He joined the Danish Army Special Forces in 1974 (working and training with Special Force units from other NATO countries) and after honorable discharge from the Danish Army in 1980, Kim started working as a Professional Bodyguard.

During his 25 years as a Professional Bodyguard, Kim has worked in most countries in Europe and lived in such countries as Sweden, Norway, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy, France, England and before emigrating to USA in 1994, Kim lived and worked in Ireland.

In addition to his job as a Bodyguard, Kim has worked as a Consultant for Microsoft over a period of 10 years specializing in User Interface Design. While living in England, Kim earned a degree in Graphic Design.

Kim has a martial arts background in Kyokushinkai Karate, Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing and has over 15 year of experience in Krav Maga. Kim has been competing in Triathlon in Denmark, Sweden and Spain and is also a Speed and Conditioning Coach. One of Kim's preferred self-defense tools is the Cane and his favorite strength training is Russian Kettlebells.

Kim is still an active Bodyguard, but has limited his travel. As the founder of Better Bodyguards, Kim is now spending more time teaching self-defense to Bodyguards, Law Enforcement personnel, Security personnel and civilians. Besides being active as a Krav Maga Instructor, Kim is a Tactical Handgun Instructor, Expandable Baton Instructor, a Knife and Stick Instructor and a Cane Masters Instructor.

To keep his shooting and tactical skills sharp, Kim is competing in IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association). Kim has a passion for teaching classes like "Situational Awareness" and "Home Defense" to civilians. Kim is a certified Kid-Safe Agent with the National Security Alliance and a member of American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers (ASLET).

Kim is a Russian Kettlebell Certified (RKC) instructor in Pavel Tsatsouline's Kettlebell Training System.

When not teaching, competing or protecting someone, Kim designs and develops business web sites. Kim has worked exclusively with Internet-based technology since 1995. Kim is the designer/developer of our website.

When we asked Kim what he likes to do in his spare time, he replied: "What spare time??"
