Senior Instructor
Bambi has immersed herself in various styles of the martial arts over the past 20 years. She participated in mixed martial arts tournaments for 10 years as a means to keep learning new fighting techniques.
She was introduced to Krav Maga in 2005 and has embraced this street-worthy system whole-heartedly. After four years of one-on-one training with one of the toughest East Coast Krav Maga instructors, Bambi has developed into a force to be reckoned with. Her desire to introduce the power of Krav Maga to newcomers has made her one of the most enthusiastic (and hard-driving) instructors you'll find.
Bambi has also trained stick, knife, and gun with the F.I.S.T. organization, under the tutelage of Nick Hughes, has received Level 1 Certification with the S.F. Congress CQC organization, and has completed 2 training "boot camps" with Moni Aizik of Commando Krav Maga.
Bambi's fitness background also includes competitive hockey, lacrosse, basketball, racquetball, 5K and 10K runs, and bodybuilding. Always looking for new challenges, and better ways to develop her physical strength and wellness, Bambi began training with Russian kettlebells 3 years ago under the relentless eye of Kim Vigsbo, RKCII. Her strength and explosive power have been dramatically increased with a consistent program of kettlebell swings, snatches, squats, and Turkish getups. Currently Bambi swings a 28 kg (62 lbs) for 200 swings/30 minutes for cardio and core strength development. Her strongest snatch is with a 24 kg (53 lbs)
Bambi is responsible for the strength and cardio development of our students and instructors, and starts each class with an intense workout. You'll find her drills challenging and always full of surprises.
Looking for motivation? Bambi takes a personal interest in the development of new students - mind, body and spirit! Personal training (and nutritional guidance) is available by appointment.
